Our Final Week of 2015

It's been a great last week of the year 2015!

We authored our own "all about" stories, used our creative minds to be architects, had some fun math activities, celebrated a birthday, and said goodbye to one of our class friends as she returns to Singapore.

Playing "Fill My Hexagon"
Using cards to make ten.

Describing the fractions we used to create our pictures.

She cut the square into fourths, used the whole rectangle, and two half circles for the eyes.
Starting the building process.

Figuring out what to build next.

Architect teamwork

Contemplating if this would work....it did not.

The finished product.  A hotel for Manila!
A house for farmland.

A beach house for Boracay.

A hotel for Manila.

The perfect home for Switzerland.

A hotel for flooded areas.

An animal clinic on stilts for flooded areas and an underwater house.

Goodbye, Lauren!  We will miss you so much!
